janice essanason

Janis A. Esannason is a retired educator. She has worked in education from Head Start to the university level. Over a 31-year period, she has served as a teacher, a language arts coordinator, education manager, assistant principal, principal, and adjunct professor. She loves to travel. janice essanasonHer entire family takes second place only to God, through Christ her Savior. She is proud of her achievements, which include: her two children and three and one-half grandchildren; her academic accomplishments; her honorable discharge with a Captain’s rank from the VI Army National Guard; recognition by Tomorrow’s People organization; all of her students; her national and international travels – including Anguilla, Barbados, Denmark, Egypt, France, Mexico, St. Kitts/Nevis, and Sweden; her recent election to the 16th VI Board of Education; and of course, she is most proud of her salvation. At Altona Baptist Church she serves as advisor on youth activities, is an alternate radio announcer of the church’s weekly activities, and has been given oversight of the church’s directory. Summer 2010 she will plan and implement Altona’s Vacation Bible School.
